#Does nikon capture nx d work with mac os sierra pro
Also note that I can't use Media Pro for JPEG conversions because Media Pro doesn't recognize the raw edits performed with non-Phase One software. (Note: This process worked fine with the older Nikon Capture NX-2, which didn't use sidecar files. Is there anything I can do to make sure all annotations are inherited from the NEF file to the JPEG version after editing in NX-D? Obviously I could try make sure to do all my annotations before I edit in NX-D, but that isn't always practical. I suspect that NX-D's sidecar files are somehow interfering with Media Pro's annotations such that exporting annotations doesn't actually embed the annotations into the file (even though I have checked "Update embedded metadata when possible"). Problem: If I then add/export more annotations in Media Pro, then run another JPEG conversion, the new annotations are missing from the JPEGs (they contain only the annotations added prior to the creation of the NX-D sidecar file). Close that, and head back over to System Preferences > Sound. Leave drift correction set to Built-in Output.

Then, in the right-hand pane for this new device, make sure you tick Built-in Output and iShow Audio Capture. If I create annotations in Media Pro, export/embed them into the NEF, then edit the NEF and convert it to JPEG in NX-D, the annotations carry over to the JPEG perfectly. Click the + in the bottom left, and choose Create Multi-Output Device.

Nikon Capture NX-D is my raw editor (it uses its own sidecar files ".nksc"). I'm annotating them in Media Pro (with raw rendering via the Apple Engine/Mac OS El Capitan). I've submitted a support ticket for this problem, but since it involves Nikon software too, perhaps it's more appropriate to open this up to the user community.
